Municipal Security Council Visits Scene of Fire Outbreak at Sawaba 31st

The Municipal Chief Executive, together with members of the Municipal Security Council, yesterday visited the scene of a recent fire outbreak at Sawaba 31st to assess the extent of damage and express solidarity with affected residents.

The incident resulted in significant losses, and the situation was indeed distressing. The thoughts and prayers of the Municipal Assembly are with all individuals and families impacted by the unfortunate event.

The Assembly is working closely with the Municipal Directorate of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to coordinate the provision of relief items and other necessary support to victims during this difficult period.

Residents are strongly urged to remain vigilant and prioritize fire safety at all times. The public is advised to ensure the proper handling of electrical appliances, avoid illegal power connections, switch off electrical devices when not in use, and keep flammable materials away from open flames. Landlords and tenants are further encouraged to install basic fire safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, and to maintain clear and accessible exit routes to facilitate safe evacuation in emergencies.
