Commissioning of New Educational Facilities at Sakafia Senior High School

The Asokore Mampong Municipal Chief Executive today joined the Minister for the Interior and Member of Parliament for the Asawase Constituency, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak, Municipal Education Directors, traditional leaders, members of the clergy, and other distinguished stakeholders for the official commissioning of newly constructed educational facilities at Sakafia Senior High School.

The commissioned facilities comprise a six-unit first-floor classroom block, complete with offices and stores, as well as a six-seater water closet (W/C) facility. The development represents a significant milestone in ongoing efforts to improve educational infrastructure and create a safe, modern, and conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.

The occasion reaffirmed the Government’s commitment, under the leadership of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, to expanding access to quality education and investing in the infrastructure and facilities required to provide every child with the opportunity to learn, develop, and realize their full potential.

Sakafia Senior High School is also benefiting from other major infrastructure projects, including a 2,000-capacity assembly hall and a four-storey girls’ dormitory. Upon completion, these facilities will further enhance the school’s capacity, improve student welfare, and contribute to a more supportive and enriching educational experience.

The development of educational infrastructure goes beyond the construction of physical facilities. It represents an investment in human capital, creates opportunities for young people, strengthens communities, and lays a solid foundation for the future development of the nation.
