Commissioning of Classroom Blocks at Asokore Mampong

The Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly has taken a significant step toward improving educational infrastructure with the commissioning of newly completed classroom facilities at Asokore Mampong and Aboabo Middle B.

The facilities, comprising a three-unit classroom block and a six-unit classroom block, were officially commissioned on Monday, 7 September 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

The commissioning marks an important milestone in the Municipality’s efforts to create safe, conducive, and accessible learning environments for pupils and improve the working conditions of teachers.

The new classroom facilities are expected to help address infrastructural needs within the beneficiary schools, reduce pressure on existing classroom spaces, and contribute to improved teaching and learning outcomes.

The occasion brought together key stakeholders, including the Member of Parliament for Asawase Constituency, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak; the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ben Abdallah Alhassan; representatives of the Municipal Assembly; education authorities; traditional leaders; teachers; parents; and members of the beneficiary communities.

The Municipal Assembly expressed its commitment to continued collaboration with relevant stakeholders to strengthen educational infrastructure and ensure that children within the Municipality have access to quality and conducive learning environments.

The commissioning of these facilities represents another important investment in the educational development and future of the children of Asokore Mampong Municipality.
