Flood Prevention Works Underway at Aboabo Palele

The Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly is pleased to announce the ongoing major flood prevention initiative at Aboabo Palele. This critical project involves comprehensive dredging and desilting operations aimed at improving the drainage infrastructure to effectively manage stormwater and mitigate flood risks for residents.

Over time, drainage channels and waterways in Aboabo Palele have accumulated significant sediment, which obstructs water flow and exacerbates flooding during heavy rains. The current dredging and desilting works focus on removing these sediments to restore the capacity and functionality of the drainage systems. By enhancing water flow, the project seeks to prevent future flooding, safeguard property, and improve the overall quality of life in the community.

The Municipal Assembly is working closely with local stakeholders and residents to ensure the successful execution of these works. Community members have expressed their gratitude for the Assembly’s proactive approach and commitment to addressing flood-related challenges.

The Assembly remains dedicated to implementing sustainable infrastructure improvements across the municipality to promote safety, resilience, and environmental sustainability. Further updates will be provided as the project progresses.
